A powerful little card for you to hand to the receptionist at the dental appointment; ask them to give it to the dentist & dental hygienist before your child goes in to the appointment.

It says everything needed for reasonable adjustments to be made without your child having to hear anything.

For dental health professionals: A great training tool to support and extend learning of how to support those with Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder (FASD). This is supported by our sector specialist web page linked on the card.

"This was a gamechanger for us, the receptionist read it and completely changed they way she spoke to me and my son!! The dentist came out to us and spoke slowly, then very carefully took us through what he was going to do next. Throughout the appointment he showed my son the tools he was going to use and allowed him to hold them. He had to have a tooth enamel paste applied where normally this was scary for him, this time he was allowed to mix the paste which immediately made my son feel like this was OK and then he immediately relaxed. A total gamechanger!"

"If given a vote to what I think about this I would say 1000% YES its great. I have just bought the other cards so that I am ready for the next run of appointments". A heartfelt thank you!"

"It makes me cry to write this, I wish I had found these cards years ago, it takes away the trauma; I go into the appointments now feeling like I don't have to explain everything over and over.... huge!"
